HRCAP and TAP Awarded Pathway Home Grants

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced $6,999,632 in federal funding for the Hampton Roads Community Action Program ($3.999,633) and Total Action Against Poverty in Roanoke Valley in Roanoke Valley ($2,999,999) to provide training and career counseling services to incarcerated individuals so that they are prepared for employment opportunities and able to successfully transition into the workforce following their release. The grants were awarded through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA)’s Pathway Homes program, which works to improve employability outcomes for adults during the reentry process from incarceration.
