Newport News VA – Hampton Roads Community Action Program held their 2024 Community Builders Awards at the Newport News Marriott on June 6. The Community Builders Award is HRCAP’s annual signature fundraiser designed to recognize individuals and businesses in Hampton Roads working to improve the community through education, volunteerism, business and outreach. Award winning actor and stage director, Phylicia Rashad, was the keynote speaker. She spoke about the power of community to wrap around all families. Thank you to HRCAP team and partners.
