Spotlight event at CAPUP for Virginia CASH Campaign and Food Pantry

March 27, Richmond VA – Capital Area Partnership Uplifting People (CAPUP), United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg and the Virginia Community Action Partnership (VACAP) hosted a tour at CAPUP’s new offices to showcase the partnerships among CAPUP, United Way, VACAP and the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) in providing free income tax preparation services and food access. Leaders from CAPUP and VACAP were joined by Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Resources Toni Blue, Senior Policy Advisor Lucy Schwartz, and VDSS Commissioner Duke Storen. The delegation learned more about CAPUP’s Whole Family programs, the Virginia CASH Campaign and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program run by United Way in Richmond.
